Basic Information

Function Description

Reads information about multiple sensors.

Command Information

Request Information

ByteData Field
NetFn30h
CMD93h
1:3Manufacturer ID, LS Byte first. The length is fixed to three bytes. For example, if the vendor ID is 2011 and the corresponding hexadecimal value is 0x0007DB, the first byte is DBh, the second byte is 07h, and the third byte is 00h.
4Sub command, subcommand = 28h
5trigger type
0: reading
1: event
6:NSensors Number
Note: This command can be used to read the information about multiple sensors, including the reading of the threshold sensor and the event level of the discrete sensor. 6:N indicates the number of sensors to be read based on the variable-length input parameters.

Response Information

ByteData Field
1Completion Code
0xFF: The input sensor number is incorrect.
[7]-0b=All Event Messages disabled from this sensor
[6]-0b=sensor scanning disabled
[5]-1b=reading/state unavailable
[4:0]-reserved. Ignore on read
2:4Manufacturer ID, LS Byte first. The length is fixed to three bytes. For example, if the vendor ID is 2011 and the corresponding hexadecimal value is 0x0007DB, the first byte is DBh, the second byte is 07h, and the third byte is 00h.
5: (2N-6)Each sensor has a two-byte return value: the completion code and the reading.
5: completion code for reading the first sensor
6: reading of the first sensor
......
2N-7: completion code for reading the Nth sensor
2N-6: reading of sensor N
The sensor reading returned by the discrete sensor is the highest level of the current sensor event.
Event Severity
0h=No State Assert Event
1h=Non Critical
2h=Critical
3h=Non Recoverable
Other=Reserved

Command Example

Obtain the memory temperature.

Request:

bash
ipmicmd -k "0f 00 MM NN" smi 0

Response:
